Canadian Birth Certificate or Proof of Citizenship
IF have teaching experience, provide Statement of Professional Competency
IF have a teaching degree other than MUN, provide Statement of Professional Standing
Copy of current Teaching Certificate
If you have previous teaching service, official statements of teaching service, on the forms provided by this office, must be completed by your previous employer(s) and returned directly to this office by that employer.

Fees

Application fee: $115
Statement of Teaching Service: $10
Statement of Professional Standing: $20
Upgrade Application* $200.00
Copy of Teaching Certificate $30.00

Timeline, application times, etc.

Initial Certification:

40 days- 8 weeks (December/January; April/May)

25 days - 5 weeks (remainder)

Upgrade:

80 days - 16 weeks (December/January; April/May)

30 days - 6 weeks (remainder)

*Forms must be sent directly from the organization to the certification office
**The Criminal Records Check must be within the six months of application
