What can I request?
Types of material you can request through Document Delivery include:
- books
- book chapters
- CDs and DVDs
- articles from journal or other periodicals
- conference papers or proceedings
- microfilm and microfiche
- archival material
- dissertations and theses
What can't I request?
Certain materials are rarely available for Document Delivery:
- full ebooks (if you need more than 20% of the book, you'll need to request a physical copy of the book)
- rare and valuable books
- books difficult or expensive to mail
- reference material
- books published very recently
- textbooks sold at the MUN Bookstore
We'll let you know if we can't find an item for you. Other options, such as purchasing a copy of the item, may be possible.
Certain collections from Memorial University Libraries cannot be lent due to their irreplaceable nature. This can include, but is not limited to:
- rare books
- archival material
- Newfoundland and Labrador microfilm (e.g. Evening Telegram)
- items from the Centre for Newfoundland Studies
- reference material
