What can I request?
Copies of material delivered under our Document Delivery service are made in accordance with Canadian copyright law and our online subscription licenses.
What can I request?
Types of material you can request through Document Delivery include:
- an article from a journal or other periodical that we do not subscribe to or only have in print
- one book chapter
- multiple book chapters where amount does not exceed 10% of the book
- conference papers or proceedings
- DVDs and CDs
- music scores
- microfilm and microfiche
- dissertations and theses
- print books (or suggest a purchase)
What can't I request?
Certain materials are rarely available for Document Delivery:
- ebooks (if you need multiple chapters that exceed 10% of the book, you'll need to request a physical copy of the book, or suggest a purchase)
- rare and valuable books
- books difficult or expensive to mail
- reference material
- textbooks sold at the MUN Bookstore
We'll let you know if we can't find an item for you. Other options, such as purchasing a copy of the item, may be possible.
