This almanac, devoted to the Port of Spain, Trinidad, includes a table with the imports for the year 1839, specifying commodities and their value. Also included are returns for vessels cleared, including tonnage and the number of men, a table of exports for 1839, including weight, value and destination, duties on commodities and a table with the volume of exports of sugar, molasses, rum, cocoa, coffee, cotton and indigo for each of the years 1821 to 1839. The almanac concludes with a history of Trinidad by Edward Lanzer Joseph.
