2019 APLA Merit Award
We are very proud to share that Ms. Beth Maddigan has won the Atlantic Provinces Library Association 2019 Merit Award, an award that honours an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to library services in the Atlantic Provinces. Ms. Maddigan is head of the Education Library at Memorial University Libraries and is a leader and mentor to many in her profession, as well as in the wider community. She is an advocate of libraries and brings passion and dedication to the promotion of literacy throughout the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Ms. Maddigan has worked in libraries since 1982. She is an inspirational educator, an expert in library programming, and a creative and thoughtful scholar.
