Presentation Area

The corner of the room next to the purple panel is a practice presentation area. Use this space to practice before presenting to a class or any formal group. The “Risers” and “Buoys” located throughout the area provide space for groups of 2-15 people to gather and participate.

‌Ensure that the computer under the podium is turned on, then turn on the Smart Podium by touching the button located at the bottom left on its display. The login is the same as for the SMART Boards and is written on the monitor. You can also us your MUN login if you wish. Check that the Extron control panel (shown below) on the podium is set to “PC” then press “On” to activate the projector and screen.

If you wish to connect a laptop/tablet you may do so using the VGA or HDMI as well as the audio cables that are provided. To display the device using the projector, select Laptop 1 (HDMI) or Laptop 2 (VGA) from the Extron control panel.

‌Use the volume control on the Extron controller to adjust the sound to the audience. The sound from this area is heard throughout the whole room, so only use as much volume as is absolutely necessary!

The station also includes a Mersive Solstice Pod. You can use this device to share content from Android and IOS devices to the big screen as well.
